Keeping us all safe at NACE/MAS 2022
Hosting a group of enthusiastic aquaculturists who haven’t seen each other in several years is both exciting and a challenge given the state of this pandemic. Creating a safe environment is of utmost importance as we work to convene an in person meeting. The NACE/MAS organizers are planning COVID-19 precautions to keep everyone safe: not only those attending and the hotel staff, but also the very important people we are all going home to.
After consultation with the Maine Centers for Disease Control and our hotel hosts, we have determined that the best way to ensure all attendees, trade show vendors, and hotel staff are safe, is to require evidence of full vaccination to attend this meeting. You will be asked to upload a photo of your vaccination card when you submit your registration form. (Those not fully vaccinated when they register will be able to send documentation until December 10 to have a confirmed registration. Be assured that digital copies of your vaccination cards will be destroyed after the conference).
The hotel has installed HEPA air handling filtration and hand sanitizers and will employ wide spaced seating in the meeting halls. As we get closer to our meeting, we may implement other precautions such as onsite rapid COVID-19 testing upon arrival, temperature screening for fever and/or requirements for facial coverings and limiting the number of attendees. We will keep this page updated as conditions change and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns.
Thank you for your enthusiasm, commitment and understanding as we navigate our way to convening the NACE/MAS
